A CINDERELLA WEDDING

Is it true that woman in 20-something age will dream about a Fairy Tale Wedding?

I was introduced to Fairy Tales by my sisters as my bed time stories. My childhood was totally influenced by Fairies and Fairy Godmothers. I got influenced so badly that I used to wear my glasses while sleeping so that I can see my dreams, my Cinderella and Rapunzel clearly. It went to an extent that I was fighting with my parents to get me high powered glasses. The higher the power, the higher the clarity.

Fairy Tales have influenced us all at some point or the other. One common influence is THE CINDERELLA WEDDING.

Any girl would have dreamt waiting for her Prince Charming, for being the chosen one, for a KISS that breaks the spell, for a Royal Boll with the prince, for being dressed up like a Princess, and for a “HAPPILY EVER AFTER” ending.

May be from now on girls will start dreaming of THE KATHERINE WEDDING.

It was a Fairy-Tale-come-true. The grand entrance was in a royal Rolls Royce. The princess was at her best in her ivory and white mildly embroidered satin gazar and the transparent silk oven veil topped up with the diamond studded platinum Tiara.

It was a real fantasy to watch her walk on the red carpet with her father, leading to Prince Williams. It was a beautiful moment when they made eye contact. She suddenly smiled. May be, he told her she was looking beautiful.

There was a huge mass prayer, singing and music vibrating all through the big beautiful church. There was fashion everywhere, all women were dressed to their best. Even their hats, they were of various types, designs and colors.

The best part I loved in the wedding was when they shared their vows. They were both blushing in shyness which looked so natural and not like a stage show. They were then pronounced Man and Wife and walked back towards the beautiful Royal Chariot. And then...

STOP!!!! Rewind.....toirahC layoR lufituaeb eht sdrawot kcab deklaw dna efiW dna naM decnuonorp neht erew yehT......

Replay..... They were then pronounced Man and Wife and walked back towards the beautiful Royal Chariot. Wait, where is the part, ‘you may now kiss the bride?’ I guess I missed it.

They both were on their way to the Buckingham palace waving their hands to the thickly dense crowd that was all through their way. This reminded me of Princess Diaries where Julie Andrews teaches Anne Hathaway how to walk, how to wave her hand, how to shake her head, and how to strike the right body posture. Poor Kate, I can’t imagine how much training and pressure she would have had before the event. There was not a single moment that she didn’t smile. I am sure her cheek bones would have longed for some rest.

All the other Royal guests followed the Prince and the Princess in to the Palace. There were about 1900 people who were invited. I am sure not all of them would have had the privilege to enter the Palace. After half-an-hour, the Royal family with the Groom and the Bride assembled on the balcony to address the crowd. In some time I heard the crowd shouting “KISS her KISS her”... And there came “THE KISS”.

In Royal weddings there is a custom of first public kiss. Now I know that I did not miss it. In a while there was another short chipmunk Kiss as the previous one. Phew!!!!

There were Air Force/ Navy planes flying to honor the wedding. It was a good show to see.

Here is a woman who lived her dreams. I saw her living our dreams. I saw it with my glasses on once again.

I wish this Fairy Tale Wedding has a Happily-Ever-After ending.

Blessed be.
