JOURNÉE MÉMORABLE – we don't remember days, we remember moments.

Times change, people change, attitudes change…the only things that do not change are Memories. They keep reminding us of who we actually were and who we have become.

Today, everyone knows me as a Clinical Nutritionist (SRMC), W/O so &so and M/O so &so. We are just like any other corporate couple who keep migrating from one place to the other, meet new people every now and then. When we think that we have made good friends in a place and plan to settle with the group, again, it’s time to pack-up and move on. Every relationship these days (except kith and kins) are like passing clouds. There is no special person apart from family with whom one can get close and slowly gain each other’s confidence to share our point of view. Today’s fast moving life can be termed as a “Move-On” life. I am sure, that this is not the case just with us.

There was once a time, a time to remember and cherish for life long. A time where I was Saranya V from a small place called Nanganallur in our Singara Chennai studyied in the best school.

We were 3 inseparable friends called THE THREE MUSKETEERS - Padma, Ramya and I. We were friends since 4th grade. We used to get dressed in the same color and ride our green colored lady-bird cycles all through the day. We just loved the adventure of taking a new route every day back home. There were no days when we had gone home from school without halting at a street corner for more than an hour to simply chit chat.

We spent a lot of time together at each other’s place, which were hardly 3 minutes apart. Watching movies, grooming each other, and shopping were some of our favorite pastime. I hope my friends remember our expressions after watching Sharukh run in the very first seen in the movie K3G.

The next major time we spent was at school. We all loved to go to school. We three were typically the earliest to school and the last to leave. Even our other classmates made the time at school more wonderful with interesting events.

Some of our classmates used to come early to school and hide under the tables and chairs. Once the other students started coming in, they used to pop out and scare the hell out of ‘em.

The next big event of the day was during lunch. We were all fond of each other’s lunch. We eventually made our mom’s to cook something special to share with the rest of the class. The highlight of this was the way food used to get distributed.

Apart from this there was gossiping, matchmaking, boys n girls fight, who will be the teacher’s next favorite, etc. keeping nicknames were the most enjoyable events. We were the “X D” students. All time any teacher’s favorite batch. I was called “scene party & Shakespeare’s vaarisu” (legal heir), I did not like it back then but thinking of it now brings a smile on my face.

We parted after the freshmen and sophomore years. The inseparable parted and went in their own tracks. Our houses are still in the same locality and yet we hardly have time to meet each other. We are now connected only through FB. Just like others, we ‘like and comment’ on each other’s photos and status messages. We are connected yet, disconnected.

Not many photos of us were taken, no orkut or facebook were there to upload to constantly remind us of the wonder years. Yet, it feels as though all these happened yesterday. My memories are so fresh with a perfect picture in my mind.

This is my Autograph. I am sure that everyone will have their own story to share. Please feel free to share yours. That way you will live those moments and enjoy the pleasure just like I.
